Split the panel into sections (a section every 6–12" is plenty). At each station measure straight from the top edge to the bottom edge (vertical); for each section, the top and bottom lengths along the edges and one diagonal from its top-left to its bottom-right. PATRN lays the triangles out flat — the same as flattening a 3D scan.
